Description : Rosy barb is a moderately compressed bodied fish with a slightly longer upper jaw.Body is slivery,dark along the back and scales with dark bases.A large black mark is present near the caudal fin.Black band is present over dorsal rays.During breeding season,some specimens have red and purple on sides with red opercle.
