Description : Spotted barb is a moderately compressed bodied fish with a slightly longer upper jaw.They have large eyes and a small mouth.Body is greenish silvery showing silvery reflections on the sides and belly region.Two vertical dark broad bands are present on the body.There are also two lighter bands,one in between the dark bands and other near the caudal fin.During breeding season,fins appear yellowish with a red tinted belly.
